Lego IDEAS 58th set 21350 Jaws contains 1497 parts and 3 minifigures, with an age target of 18+. The official price in mainland China is 1399 yuan. It will be officially launched on August 1. It is the ultimate display set inspired by fans, recreating the thrilling scene in the movie "Jaws": Quint, Commissioner Brody and Hooper confronted the shark on the deck of the Orca.
The overall remains unchanged
First, let's take a look at the two models as a whole. Most of the original work (second submission) originally submitted by Jonny Campbell has been retained. Both Jaws models have the Orca shark fishing boat with a mast and rigging, and a two-story cabin on board. Except for the different colors of the hull, the shape and proportions of the two ships are roughly the same.
Both models come with three minifigures: Sheriff Martin Brody, Matt Hooper and Captain Quint. Both models also have a brick-built shark named Bruce.
Added a diorama base
The biggest difference between the official set and the original is that the LEGO designers made an additional black diorama base for the model, similar to the design of the diorama sets in the Star Wars series. The base has printed nameplates of LEGO and Great White Shark and the iconic line from the movie "You need a bigger ship".
In addition, Bruce the Shark has his own display stand, which also has a nameplate on the bottom. Players can choose to display the complete ship and shark separately, or connect the two models together through the black diorama base to form a complete scene and restore the exciting scenes in the movie.
Improved the design of the minifigures
Although the two models contain the same three characters, Lego designers have further improved the design of the minifigures. The three minifigures originally designed by Jonny Campbell used the existing minifigure expressions and plain body torsos. Now Lego designers have designed unique expressions and costumes for Sheriff Brody, Matt Hooper and Captain Quint, and matched them with accessories that restore the plot of the movie.
About "Jaws"
"Jaws" (English: Jaws) is a 1975 American thriller film [1] directed by Steven Spielberg and adapted from Peter Benchley's novel of the same name. This film is the pioneering work of summer blockbusters, and its release is regarded as a watershed in film history. The film tells the story of a huge man-eating great white shark appearing off the coast of a summer resort town called Amity Island, killing many tourists. The local sheriff is determined to hunt the shark with the help of a marine biologist and a professional shark hunter. Roy Scheider stars as Sheriff Martin Brody, Richard Dreyfuss as marine biologist Matt Hooper, Robert Shaw as shark hunter Quint, Murray Hamilton as the mayor of Amity Island, and Lorraine Gary as Brody's wife Ellen. Benchley, author of the novel, wrote the first draft of the screenplay, which was later adapted by actor and screenwriter Carl Gottlieb during principal photography.
