Chief designer Chris McVeigh wholeheartedly agrees with Valentina Bima’s vision, praising her detailed concept model as truly inspiring. Building on the original design, Chris creatively added numerous plants and trees, including date palms, eucalyptus, Japanese maples, ice cream tulips, hydrangeas, birds of paradise, anthuriums, pitcher plants, cacti, and more, all exuding a unique natural charm.
One of the standout features is the three removable roof sections. “The botanical garden has one of the largest fully-windowed roof structures we’ve ever built,” Chris noted. This not only achieves a classic appearance but also ensures the roof’s stability.
Compared to real botanical gardens, this LEGO Botanical Garden is equally impressive. Although some plants may not be perfectly replicated in LEGO, the brand conveys the forms of nature through creative building, resulting in a unique aesthetic expression.
